Ordering information

PLEASE REVIEW PRIOR TO ORDERING

Cold weather shipping

*I ship year round all over the country with good success using a combination of insulation, heat packs and common sense.

*If you live in a cold weather area and especially if you will require a heat pack DO NOT CHOOSE GROUND SHIPPING.  At minimum 2nd day air and next day is even better.  I reserve the right to cancel orders or hold shipment until an appropriate shipping method is selected particularly on more valuable items and items I do not have replacements for.

*All plants are insulated year round with double foil foam core insulation wrap and polyfil.  This does not have to be requested.

*For shipping to locations with low temperatures expected to fall below 40F, a heat pack will be included by default by me.  No need to add anything to your cart, although it won’t hurt to send a message if you expect low temps just to remind me.

*I try to not ship if expected low temperatures will be in the mid 20s F or below although I have done this successfully in some cases if necessary.  If you want to purchase something and expect temporarily lower temps and would like me to hold shipping I am a bit more flexible on my holding rules during this time of year and you should just reach out to me so we can figure out a more optimal time for shipping.

* In particularly low temps, the buyer should understand that some degree of cold damage is expected but hopefully will be mitigated due to the measures taken.  I will not replace plants suffering cosmetic damage from extreme temperatures, but we will closely monitor them following the delivery to assure there is not a progressive decline as can occasionally occur with cold damage. For more extensive damage particularly extending to the stem or roots I will work with you on a solution on a case by case basis.

General information

-All orders year round will include double foil foam core insulation wrap around the plants.

-All plants are grown semi hydroponically in either pon or tree fern.  Plants will therefore be shipped either in fern substrate or bare root in moss.  I have not noticed significant issues bare rooting plants growing in semi hydro and if they arrive looking in good condition I recommend transferring the plant to your preferred substrate as soon as you are comfortable.  I do not recommend leaving the plant in the shipping substrate for a prolonged period.

International orders

* Shipping is only to US addresses.  International clients need to arrange beforehand with a US based broker.  My recommended broker is Sarah Spaulding (@Botanophile on instagram) but I can ship to a suitable broker of your choice provided they have a US address.  If this has been arranged orders can be placed through the site.  For orders with special considerations or if you are interested in adding items not on the website such as propagations of clone/mother plant etc, you should reach out to me on Instagram @granthuriums or by email prior to placing any orders on the site.

Domestic orders

* I can hold a plant up to 2 weeks before shipping (some flexibility during winter times or if the delay is my fault).  Beyond that you should just wait to order until you’re ready to receive the plant.  If you need a hold please contact me at the time of your order.  Due to other considerations slightly longer holds may be necessary for international orders but these are better handled off the site on Instagram.

* I pack everything with care but occasionally things happen.  While I can’t be responsible for carrier issues, I will always make every effort to address any issues with my plants.  Please make sure you or someone is around to promptly retrieve the package especially in extreme hot or cold weather and be sure to reach out to me immediately with any issues.
