Seedling care instructions
Here I’ll give my recommendations on what to do with your new seed, sprout or seedling upon arrival and beyond. All of these recommendations are based on tent/cabinet/greenhouse type conditions. For those growing in ambient you can use these as general guidelines but you will need to take the usual precautions involved in acclimating humidity loving plants to lower humidity environments.
First and foremost please retrieve the package promptly upon delivery as exposure to prolonged heat or cold can damage your plant or seed. If there is damage to the plant please document this and notify me immediately.
For seeds i recommend leaving them in the moss until they have fully hardened off the first leaf. After this point you can transfer them to the substrate of your choice (for me personally I use tree fern with a reservoir). I would keep seedlings covered until they have a minimum of 3-4 leaves. After this time they can be acclimated to open tent conditions.
Medium to large seedlings can typically go directly into your medium of choice assuming they did not experience any prolonged shipping delay and did not arrive showing signs of stress. The smoothest transition will likely be to semi hydroponic set ups as this is how mine are grown, but the best mix is one that you are comfortable with.
